Please mark your calendars, and be checking with your principal/supervisor, to set November 12-13, 2008, for our State Agricultural & Industrial Power Professional Development Workshop. Additionally, pay close attention to our Professional Development web page for future updates.
Listed below is a tentative agenda for this year’s professional development activity. Please contact your program area representative Jack Mescher if you have any questions. Also, here is a letter to your director/supervisor encouraging their support of your participation in this important state event.
This year, we will be conducting our technical training and will be participating in some hands-on activities as well as hearing from industry and what their expectations are of our graduates. Registration includes dinner, breakfast, lunch, and all other related conference materials. All of this has been rolled into a single conference registration cost of $225 per person. As a reminder, the costs associated with your participation (mileage, registration, motel, meals, substitute teacher, etc) are approved uses of the .57 CTAE weighted funds generated by your Career-Tech program (reference Auditor of State Bulletin 2000-16). With this in mind, we hope your school will sponsor your participation.
I hope those of you who were at last year’s event will share your thoughts about the workshop and it's value to you and your program with your peers. Let's shoot for 100% attendance in 2008. Agricultural & Industrial Power Agenda
