A youth outdoor education experience Sponsored
by Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum In cooperation with the Ohio Divisions
of Wildlife and Watercraft
- Outdoor Skills Adventure will
be held beginning Monday, July 16th thru Friday July
20th, 2007 at Ohio FFA Camp Muskingum, in Carrollton,
Ohio. Monday thru Wednesday
will focus on fishing and Wednesday thru Friday will
focus on shooting sports. Outdoor Skills Adventure
is a unique program that will emphasize essential skills
in the areas of fishing, shooting sports, conservation,
water safety and outdoor activities.
- Registration options include the following:
- You may choose to only attend
one three-day camp either fishing or shooting sports. Fishing Camp will be
Monday, July 16th through Wednesday, July 18th. Shooting
Sports Camp will be Wednesday, July 18th through Friday,
July 20th.
- You may choose to attend the entire week, both fishing
and shooting sports camp.
- Outdoor Skills Adventure is for
youth ages 9 and up who desire to learn more about
fishing and shooting sports. Camp
is open to the first 75 youth who register for each camp. A
parent or sponsor must accompany all youth ages 9 – 10. Each
parent or sponsor is allowed to accompany up to three
youth. All parents are welcome to attend with their
siblings regardless of age.
- Registration Costs for Outdoor Skills Adventure are:
- Fishing Camp only – July
16th thru the 18th - $95.00/person
- Shooting Sports Camp only – July
18th thru the 20th - $95.00/person
- Fishing and Hunting Camp – July
16th thru the 20th - $175.00/person
Check in – begins at camp at 1:00pm on Monday, July
16th and 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 18th
- Outdoor Skills Adventure activities
are carried out rain or shine; rain gear and appropriate
clothing are a must.
- Bring toiletry items, sleeping bags or linens and blanket,
and a pillow.
- Spending money – the canteen
has pop, chips, and candy bars as well as souvenirs
such as hoodies, t-shirts, water bottles, etc. ranging
in price from $1.00 to $25.00.
- Completed
and signed Student Health Form (two pages). This
form can be downloaded here, and
must be signed by the parent or legal guardian. This
form must be sent to camp with your registration fee
prior to the event.
- Leesville Lake is a great fishing
lake so feel free to bring your fishing pole and tackle.
- All guns and ammunition for the
Shooting Sports program will be provided. Absolutely
no guns or ammunition are to be brought to camp!
- Participants are to attend all programs, activities,
and classes on their schedule.
- Smoking is prohibited in all buildings and by anyone
under 18 years of age.
- Alcohol is prohibited in camp during program.
- Possession of recreational drugs and dispensing of
prescription drugs without proper authorization will
result in immediate expulsion.
- Use of ATV’s and golf
carts is strictly prohibited to all youth and junior
instructors.
- ATV’s and golf carts are
to be used ONLY by approved instructors and camp
personnel.
- No firearms and/or ammunition
are allowed in camp. Disregard
of this rule will result in immediate expulsion from
camp.
- Radios, tape decks, CD players,
and other electronic games are not permitted in dorms.
- WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS
- All vehicles are to be parked in designated areas.
- No food in the dorms for any reason; all food is
to be consumed in the dining hall or outside.
- Boating and swimming are allowed at designated times
and must be under the supervision of trained adults.
- No pets are to be brought to camp.
- Disciplinary actions are at the discretion of the
program director.
- No refunds will be issued to anyone expelled from
camp.
- Remember the Golden Rule: Do
unto others, as you would have them do unto you!
