Tayes Valley
January 27, 2008 7:58 PM

Hey, Ohio FFA I just got back from my chapter visit at Tayes Valley. This morning I woke up bright and early to go to there school. Map quest said that it would only take two hours to get their but, because of some snow it ended up taking just about twice as long as it was suppose too. Finally I meet up with Jodi the state reporter. I was able to watch Jodi give her first workshop I sat next to Catt and I think it is safe to that we had a good time! Then for the rest of the day I presented my own workshops. Then that night I also gave a speech at their Greenhand ceremony. Then made my way back to Wooster and met up with Dustin, Who stayed the night with me that night so that we could make our way to the Alumni Convention were we meet up the Jodi Hassan the FFA artist. The Alumni convention was a blast! I sat with some alumni members from Amanda Clear Creek and also Jodi helped put together the Harding Northern scrap book which won the scrap book contest. Good night Ohio!!!

Long Time No Blog
July 23, 2007 9:28 PM

Hey! Hey! Ohio FFA!! It's been quite awhile since my last blog and alot has happened. I had the privilege of going to the Upper Sandusky FFA fun night and it was a blast! The officers and I had the chance to take on some of the members there in a game of volleyball and a relay race. Although I can't quite remember who won, I'm sure it was close! After the fun night it was a very eventful ride home with Dustin, Anna and Britney. A shoutout to the upper girls for teaching me how to line dance to a few songs, even if I wasn't so good.

A few weeks after the fun night it was time for FFA camp! I attended every session and had a blast at each one. At second session, I had a great time getting to know all of you that were there. I especially had alot of fun at the camp idol competition and getting to boogie down!

OLC was a good time. Being part of the agri-gangsters group was probably the highlight of OLC! All I have to say about OLC is agri-gangsters YEAH BOY!

At third session, I had the opportunity to get to know Silas (aka Lindsey). During grassy games on the first day I had camp chapter #7 and as we were playing name games, one of the campers mistakenly called Silas, Lindsey. So for the rest of camp anytime I talked to Silas or seen him walking around I made it a point to call him Lindsey. I also had a blast taking chapters through the adventure valley courses and learning the James dance move from the members of Anthony Wayne.

After a short hiatus, it was back to FFA camp for the last session. Fifth session was a great time! From being challenged to playing volleyball against the tournament winner to burying Dustin in the sand, everyday was a great day at that session.

I've got to be heading off to bed, because tomorrow I'm leaving for Washington, DC to attend the State President's Conference with our Prez Dusty.

The First Of Many

Hey Hey Ohio FFA, there are few words to describe being your new VP but, if I could think of one word it would be AWESOME!!!!! Thank you for allowing me to represent Ohio FFA. I can't wait to get out there and meet all of Ohio's amazing FFA members.
Just a few days ago your 2007-2008 state officer team had our first of many officer meetings. After meeting all of them I must say you are in great hands Ohio. There aren't words to describe your officer team!! We were all able to bond and get to know each other for the coming year. In fact we already have some funny stories. On Thursday we all meet at the FFA center for some team building activities. On our way to check in to the hotel Kelly Shaw (District 9 President), Tyler Church (District 5 President), Katie Miller (District 1 President), Jesse Rose (District 3 President), Josh Weaver (District 2 President), and I got lost in Columbus. After some brief detours and stops we finally made our way to the hotel. On Friday we all went to the Universal Lettering to get measured for our new jackets and see how they are made. The trip to Universal Lettering was awesome. It was cool to see how they make the FFA jackets, it's defiantly a tour every FFA member should go on. If you have any questions or you just want to chat email me at aschmitz@ohioffa.org

P.S. I will be at the Upper Sandusky FFA Fun Day on May 30th hope to see some of you there.
