FFA's Golden Anniversary
Anniversary...
The Golden Anniversary celebration marked
FFA's greatest achievement in history. FFA
membership reached nearly 24,000 and program
quality was at an all-time high. A Grand
State-Wide Celebration was held at the 1978
State FFA Convention. Leaders in Ohio agriculture
and education joined over 3,000 FFA members,
teachers, parents and friends to honor FFA,
one of Ohio's major youth organizations,
on its golden anniversary. |

Years...
The total vocational agriculture program
enjoyed banner years in the 70's. The innovations
resulting from the Vocational Act of 1963
were now in place and the expanded and extended
"New" vocational agriculture program
bloomed.

Progress
Was Rampant in the 70's
America landed the first man on the moon,
the portable calculator became an everyday
instrument of use, computers hit the scene
with the force of a tornado, and "floppy
discs" became household jargon. People
enjoyed life. "Hello Dolly" was
a popular movie, and folks enjoyed "The
Johnny Cash Show" and "The Partiridge
Family" on TV and life went on
