Herbert

|
| Interest
in expanding vocational agriculture
from farming preparation only to an
all-agriculture concept developed in
the mid 50s. A pilot program in horticulture
was established in 1956 at Xenia and
in 1957 Dr. Herbert Brum completed major
study that revealed a valid need for
specialized instruction in off-farm
agricultural occupations. These pioneering
activities helped point the way to major
program expansion in the 60s. |
