Ohio FFA Board of Trustees
Wednesday, September 30, 2004
FFA Center – Ohio Exposition Center
Dr. Kershaw called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm.
Attendance: Dr. Isaac Kershaw, State FFA Advisor; Dr. Steven Gratz, State FFA Executive Secretary; Mr. Tom Oglesby, Teacher Representative; Mr. Kevin Kremer, Teacher Representative; Mr. David Mayer, Supervisor Representative; Mr. Jeff Korb, Teacher Representative; Rose Dudgeon, State President; Jamie Zimmer, State Vice President; Julie Watson, State Secretary; Deb Van Camp, State Treasurer; Jody Poth, State Reporter; Chip Shannon, State Sentinel. Absent: Dr. Robert Birkenholz, OSU Teacher Education
Approval of the Minutes
Mr. Mayer moved and Mr. Oglesby seconded a motion to accept the minutes of the previous meeting. The motion passed.
New Business
Policy On Use of Vehicles
Dr. Gratz moved and Mr. Oglesby seconded the motion to adopt the proposed policy on the Use of Vehicles as it pertains to the Ohio FFA awards and degrees.
State FFA Convention
Jody Poth moved and Rose Dudgeon seconded the motion to support a Thursday evening banquet and program as a prelude to the 77th Ohio FFA Convention and to request that the Ohio FFA Foundation provide $20,000. The motion passed.
Board of Trustees
Dr. Gratz moved and Mr. Oglesby seconded a motion to change the governing committee to include two senior teacher board members, appointed by the current governing committee. Motion passed.
Governing Committee shall consist of the State FFA Advisor, State FFA Executive Secretary, State FFA President and the two senior teachers of agriculture presently sitting on the Board.
Kevin Kremer moved and Jeff Korb seconded the motion to forward the constitutional amendment pertaining to the structure of the Ohio FFA Board of Trustees to the delegates at the 77th Ohio FFA Convention. The motion passed.
FFA Chapter Annual Report Policy
Jamie Zimmer moved and Deb Van Camp seconded the motion that the Ohio FFA Association require all FFA Chapters to submit an FFA Annual Report. The motion passed.
Adjournment
Rose Dudgeon moved and Deb Van Camp seconded the motion to adjourn. The motion passed.
